In honor of today, I figure today's the best day for my intro post...which I promise I have been meaning to do for a few lurky days now. :)
So, hi, I'm Suika! I had an LJ under a different name, but I haven't posted there for ages and ages.
I'm a Mac-girl straight up, and have been since we got rid of the Amiga in the early 90s and got a Performa 550, which I used to capture Carmen SanDiego and kill craptons of buffalo on the Oregon Trail. I'm extraordinarily lucky in that I get to use Macs at home and at work, though I can navigate a PC with few issues.
I'm a sucker for pretty much anything sci-fi, no matter how terrible--ok, especially if it's terrible. I read Twilight for the laughs, though I won't have a bad word said against Buffy (well, except most of 6th season, ye gods). I'm a reader, too, and I tend to prefer your lengthy world-building type books: Martin, Carey, Salvatore, Sterling, Baum, Alexander, Eddings, Pratchett, Gaiman, etc. I've also been known to dabble in writing, both fanfic and otherwise, but am impossibly slow at both!
I'm looking forward to seeing this comm grow, and all the awesome geeky things that come from it!
