So I'm finding it hard to believe myself, but at the age of 32 I'm finally reading Asimov's Foundation series for the very first time.

(Now I understand how Joss Whedon came up with Firefly... *haha*)

I'm just about to finish Foundation and Empire, so I'm just about half way through. I think I need to read more Asimov. What's your favourite, or what would you want to read next?

I tend to like his short stories better than his novels. He was mostly an idea writer, and often his ideas don't really work at novel length. (I think.)

That said, my favorite Asimov novel is The Gods Themselves

For short stories, I recommend starting with Isaac Asimov: The Complete Stories, Vol. 1. If you like that, then go for Volume 2, which seems to be out of print.
